From the perspective of work intensity, doctors in China's tertiary hospitals work an average of 51.05 hours a week, and secondary hospitals have 51.13 hours, which greatly exceeds the standard working hours of 40 hours per week. At the same time, less than a quarter of physicians are able to take statutory annual leave, and even 4.4% “don't know if they have annual leave”.
 

In terms of income, the above white paper discloses the average income of Chinese doctors. The average annual salary of men is 78,702.83 yuan, and the average annual salary of women is 73,294.47 yuan.
 

According to the data released by the National Bureau of Statistics, the average annual wage of non-private employees in urban areas in China has reached 74,318 yuan in 2017.
